I did 36 laps in the pool today – no problem. \u00a0I wasn’t even winded when I got out. \u00a0 Next Saturday’s 2 miles should be a snap. \u00a0<\/p>\n

I worked on my taxes the other evening. \u00a0The federal and state were okay – I used Turbo Tax \u00a0and breezed through those. \u00a0 I haven’t done the city one yet – those are always the worst. \u00a0 The forms are almost deliberately<\/span> complicated and I’m not looking forward to it. \u00a0 I’m trying to decide if I should be a in good mood when I start – thereby only dragging me down to a middle level. \u00a0Or if I should wait until I’m already in a bad mood since it won’t ruin a good mood.<\/div>\n

I played a little Red Steel for the Wii<\/span>. \u00a0It reminded me once again that I am no good at first-person shooters. \u00a0I barely made it through the first section of the first level before I died. \u00a0And with really long load times, eh, I don’t think this game will spend much time in the fun category<\/span>.<\/div>\n

I also played a little Super Mario Galaxy last night and did pretty well until I got to a level where:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
1. Mario is trapped in a essentially a Plexiglas<\/span> box.<\/div>\n
2. He has to run around and jump over obstacles.<\/div>\n
3. The ceiling is coming down on him<\/div>\n
4. He’s upside down.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
What is this? \u00a0A death trap from the old live action Batman series? \u00a0Who comes up with this?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The way out of this is to keep moving left and jump when appropriate<\/span>. \u00a0 Simple, right? \u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Wrong. \u00a0“LEFT! \u00a0 RUN LEFT, YOU IDIOT! \u00a0 PAY ATTENTION!”<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
All the shouting at the TV did no good – just like when my room-mate yells at the TV during WVU<\/span> football games. \u00a0 \u00a0The yelling turned into swearing and threats, but that didn’t \u00a0help either. \u00a0 I finally gave up for the evening and read a book.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Well, I signed up for twitter. \u00a0 Ugh. \u00a0 I realized I was missing things that were going on with my co-workers and friends – they kept referring<\/span> to things that they had twitted and I was out of the loop. \u00a0 Will I send my own twits? \u00a0 Not until I get an unlimited cell phone texting<\/span> plan. \u00a0So, you know, never. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/div>\n

I’ve got a twitter account. \u00a0 What the \u00a0hell happened to me? \u00a0I mean, just a year ago I was still on the “cell phones are dum<\/span>” \u00a0bandwagon. \u00a0 \u00a0And now I’ve got a twitter account. \u00a0<\/div>\n

(hangs head in shame)<\/div>\n

I still don’t have a blu<\/span>-tooth-walking-down-the-street-talking-to-myself-like-a-crazy-person-headset \u00a0 So, \u00a0there’s still hope for me.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Starting to get a big of a headache – I think I need to take a break for a few minutes. \u00a0We still don’t have a vending machine in the building, so I’ll have to head over to the school of law to get a snack\/drink.<\/div>\n
