Another webmaster email story – but this one has a happy ending. I got a message asking about the upcoming NOTED career day for teachers and when I went to try and find some info on our site, I got nowhere. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But, something jostled around in my head – somewhere in the back. Some fragment of information that was relevant somehow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, I let it sit for a few minutes while I worked on other things. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And then, I figured it out. The missing info was a poster in the elevator of my building. Northern Ohio Teacher Educator Day. I had seen the poster – and a few others – in my short rides up to the office. It sat there in the back storage of my brain and it took a little ruminating to convert it to the acronym.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I got up from my desk and walked out to the hallway, then hit the button to summon the elevator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When the doors opened I held them open with my foot, then got my camera out and snapped a pic of the poster and also copied the link from the QR code, in case it couldn\u2019t be picked up from the image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I let the doors close and went back to my desk – where I sent the photo and the link to myself first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I then replied to the note, including the picture of the poster, the link, and a note about where I found this and why. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I felt really proud about how I was able to cleverly figure this out. I got a response a little later in the day that just said, \u201cThank you!\u201d – as though this amount of work goes into every email I reply to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
