{"id":3004,"date":"2025-03-04T17:58:58","date_gmt":"2025-03-04T22:58:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thunderofwade.com\/blog\/?p=3004"},"modified":"2025-03-04T17:58:58","modified_gmt":"2025-03-04T22:58:58","slug":"13-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thunderofwade.com\/blog\/2025\/03\/04\/13-years\/","title":{"rendered":"13 years"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I had a memory pop up on facebook today.&nbsp; It only showed the comments, but by those I could tell what the missing content was &#8211; a link to my blog and a post about losing Jeff.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I didn\u2019t get much done at work after that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I hadn\u2019t forgotten, not really, but those memories were muted enough that I hadn\u2019t really thought about him or what happened in quite a while.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I went back and read the posts again from March of 2012 and realized I\u2019d forgotten a few of the details.&nbsp; Nothing earth-shattering, but just a reminder why I write in this blog &#8211; that memory is an imperfect thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Work was stressful today and I had tasks that followed me home.&nbsp; It\u2019s the problem with being connected, I guess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And everything remains\u2026well, terrible.&nbsp; I know people are in much worse situations than I am, but I get no schadenfreude from that.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, I\u2019m going to have an early dinner and get my chores done.&nbsp; And then I\u2019m going to bed.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I know it\u2019s not mentally healthy, but I\u2019m tired of my own thoughts and a few hours of oblivion would be welcome.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I had a memory pop up on facebook today.&nbsp; It only showed the comments, but by those I could tell what the missing content was &#8211; a link to my blog and a post about losing Jeff.&nbsp; I didn\u2019t get much done at work after that.
