{"id":1781,"date":"2015-05-21T23:53:42","date_gmt":"2015-05-21T23:53:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thunderofwade.com\/blog\/?p=1781"},"modified":"2015-05-21T23:53:42","modified_gmt":"2015-05-21T23:53:42","slug":"photos-with-jeanne","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thunderofwade.com\/blog\/2015\/05\/21\/photos-with-jeanne\/","title":{"rendered":"photos with Jeanne"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>I had an especially vivid dream the other night.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In it, my former co-worker had started a photo project with an interesting premise. \u00a0She had set up a victorian sofa &#8211; cream colored paint on wood with gold trim and light green cushions &#8211; in a forrest. \u00a0It was late fall since the trees were bare and there were leaves under and around the sofa.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>For the photos, she and her subject would sit on the sofa in the late afternoon sun \u00a0&#8211; each balancing a cup of steaming tea in ornate china on a saucer on a crossed knee. \u00a0They faced forward with a serious expression and Jeanne used an ipad the size of a upended coffee table and a remote trigger to take the portrait.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>With the &#8220;dream knowledge&#8221;, I knew that she had taken hundreds of nearly identical photos &#8211; only the guest subject was different.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>And she was planning a book &#8211; &#8220;photo&#8217;s with Jeanne&#8221; was to be the title.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>She and I didn&#8217;t get to talk much &#8211; the lighting was critical &#8211; but she did mention her successor at work &#8211; Casey (who she hadn&#8217;t met in real life) and his work with photography and mastery of shadows.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>What struck me was how <em>plausible<\/em> this was for one of my dreams. \u00a0No mutant-demon-zombie-ninjas. \u00a0No clone ghosts or galactic conquests. \u00a0The only odd thing was the size of the iPad &#8211; and that&#8217;s not that far off.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>So, Jeanne, here&#8217;s a project for you. \u00a0I&#8217;ll see if I can find you that sofa&#8230;<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I had an especially vivid dream the other night.
