I’ve been using the standing desk at work for over a year now and while I’ve gotten used to being on my feet all day – my shoes haven’t. \u00a0I’ve gone through several pairs of shoes in that time and when they start to go they start to bother my feet. \u00a0 So, I finally broke down.<\/p>\n
I bought a pair of crocs. \u00a0\u00a0Yes, I’m THAT guy.<\/p>\n
I’m wearing them now and here’s my report\/review.<\/p>\n
1. They are too big. \u00a0 I wear a size 10 – in fact, my feet are so perfectly a size 10 that I rarely try on shoes. \u00a0If they say 10, they fit. \u00a0 Not the crocs though, I feel like there’s enough room in these for me and a small child – if a small child could be convinced to ride around in my shoes. \u00a0(I ordered them online and didn’t have a chance to try them on in person. )<\/p>\n
2. They look a little silly. \u00a0Not a lot silly, I can still wear them for work, but just slightly silly. \u00a0I think it’s the bulk and the curve of the front of the shoes. \u00a0Just a little too big and clown-shoe-ish.<\/p>\n
3. They aren’t really that comfortable. \u00a0I was expecting an all day foot massage and instead they are slightly irritating. \u00a0I’ll give it a few days to see if I get used to them.<\/p>\n
Went for a swim at lunch yesterday and again after work. \u00a0Total laps = 65. \u00a0Not too shabby – and I was the fastest person in the pool in the afternoon. \u00a0My\u00a0shoulders\u00a0and back started to get sore or I would have gone further.<\/p>\n
Been playing a lot of God of War for the PS3. \u00a0Good game, lots of fun, but I may have been playing too much. \u00a0The puzzles, while not that terribly complicated, are stupid easy. I don’t even have to put any thought into them – I’ve learned the way the developers thought and I just find the solution instantly. \u00a0That, along with Easy mode, means that I’m flying through the game.<\/p>\n
