I went for a swim after work yesterday since I had some time to kill before my appointment to get my taxes done. \u00a0I did 30 laps and felt really powerful in the water – like I belonged there. \u00a0When I was done with the swim, I got dressed and left the building – emerging onto strangely subdued Akron streets.<\/p>\n
This is likely a combination of water in my ear muffling the sounds around me and some really delightful\u00a0endorphins, but I felt… peaceful. \u00a0And calm. \u00a0 Which for me is damn odd.<\/p>\n
I went over to McDonald’s to grab a bite to eat and I was patient and relaxed. \u00a0Took the food back to the office to eat and listened to some music.<\/p>\n
When I went to get my taxes done, I didn’t have to wait at all. \u00a0The tax\u00a0preparer\u00a0was friendly and\u00a0efficient\u00a0and impressed that I had all the required paperwork. \u00a0Took about 25 minutes to go through the whole thing and I’m getting a nice chunk of change back – and saved a bunch on fees.<\/p>\n
Went home, played some video games and read a book. \u00a0 Still relaxed and peaceful.<\/p>\n
It was like the universe said, “okay, yeah, we’ve been rough on you. \u00a0Why don’t you just chill out for a bit and we’ll let it go this time, okay?”<\/p>\n
Weird. \u00a0We’ll have to see how today goes. \u00a0I’m at work and I’m still pretty calm. \u00a0 Wonder if there was something in the pool water? \u00a0 If so, I need to bottle that stuff.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
